Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 13, 2026
Paradox Wiki (paradoxwiki.net) is a community fan project. This privacy policy explains what information the site collects from visitors, how it is used, and how you can opt out. In plain English: we do not collect personal information, we do not sell data, and we do not run targeted advertising.
1. Information We Do Not Collect
Paradox Wiki has no user accounts, no sign-up forms, no email capture, and no comment system. The following data is never collected by us:
- Your name, email address, or phone number
- Your Roblox username or any game account identifier
- Your location beyond the country-level geolocation used by Google Analytics
- Your payment information (the site has no payment flow)
- Contact lists, browsing history outside this site, or social media accounts
2. Information Collected Automatically
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-32HE7N843X) to understand which pages visitors read, how long they stay, and which devices they use. Google Analytics collects:
- Approximate country and region (not street-level location)
- Device type, browser, and operating system
- Pages visited and time spent per page
- Referring websites (where you clicked from to reach us)
- Anonymized IP address (last octet removed by Google)
This data is processed by Google under their own privacy policy. We use it only to decide which Paradox guides to improve next — it is never sold, combined with other data, or shared with third parties beyond Google.
Cookies
Google Analytics sets a small number of cookies (_ga, _ga_<id>) to distinguish unique visitors. These cookies store an anonymous identifier, not any personal information. You can block them by:
- Installing the official Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on
- Enabling "Do Not Track" or "Global Privacy Control" in your browser
- Using a privacy-focused browser like Brave or Firefox with tracking protection on
- Clearing cookies via your browser's settings after visiting the site
The Paradox Wiki Build Planner also stores your current build in your browser's localStorage. This is not a cookie and is not sent to any server — it stays entirely on your device so your build persists between visits. You can clear it at any time by opening DevTools and running localStorage.clear() on any page of the site.
3. Third-Party Embedded Content
Some pages embed content from third-party services that may set their own cookies:
- YouTube — we link to YouTube videos via thumbnail + click-through. We do not use YouTube's iframe embed, so YouTube does not load on the page unless you click a thumbnail. Once you click, you are on youtube.com and subject to YouTube's privacy policy.
- Google Fonts — we load the Inter and JetBrains Mono fonts from fonts.googleapis.com. Google may log your IP address as part of the font request.
- Tailwind CSS CDN — we load Tailwind from cdn.tailwindcss.com for styling.
- Discord — the footer links to the official Paradox Discord at discord.gg/ableachgame. Clicking that link sends you to Discord.
4. Children's Privacy
Paradox Wiki covers a Roblox game with a large under-13 audience. We deliberately do not collect personal information, request accounts, or show ads that require personal data. If you are a parent or guardian and believe we have inadvertently received information about a child, contact us via the Discord link in the footer and we will investigate.
5. Your Rights
Under GDPR (if you are in the EU/UK) and CCPA (if you are a California resident), you have the right to:
- Know what data is collected about you — the full list is Section 2 above
- Request deletion of any personal data — since we only process anonymous analytics, this is effectively satisfied by clearing your cookies
- Opt out of tracking — use the Google Analytics opt-out add-on or enable Do Not Track
- File a complaint with your local data protection authority if you believe we have misused your data
6. Data Retention
Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months by default, then automatically deleted. We do not store any personal data on our own servers — the site is a static HTML build served from Cloudflare Pages, with no database.
7. Changes to This Policy
If we change how data is handled (for example, adding a newsletter or a new third-party service), we will update this page and refresh the "Last updated" date at the top. Significant changes will also be announced via the footer disclaimer on the homepage for at least 30 days.
8. Contact
Paradox Wiki is run as a volunteer community project. There is no company behind it. For privacy questions or takedown requests, reach out in the official Paradox Discord feedback channel. We read it daily.
